30 years ago, one of the first permaculture courses was held here at The Evergreen State College. On April 4th, students celebrated the college’s devotion to sustainable education, and were aided by the voices of two gifted speakers: Jenny Pell and Toby Hemenway.
Spring time may be here, but sometimes we’re still catching up from Winter. Here is a great lecture we just got permission to use by the wonderful Barbara Winslow, feminist activist, historian, and professor from Brooklyn College.

On February 26th, the Longhouse was full of students honored with scholarships from the Evergreen State College! New recipients and their families enjoyed a reception in honor of their achievements, and relished in the stories of students whose scholarships had helped them achieve what they had thought impossible.
