SC, City of Lacey Water Resources, Water Resources Assist
Water Resources leads ongoing community efforts to ensure: our water is being used efficiently, our creeks, streams, lakes and wetlands are protected from pollution, our drinking water is of the highest quality possible, and our water supply will meet the needs of future generations. Water Resources manages programs for water conservation, cross-connection control, customer response, well-head protection, storm water pollution prevention, distribution system monitoring and volunteer programs. The WSC IP will assist in supporting each of these highly important and unique programs including activities such as educating school groups and the public about storm water pollution prevention and water conservation, facilitating community service projects, coordinating with regional partners to reach shared goals, and assisting with water quality monitoring

Member Duties : Develop and implement educational activities for school groups, teachers and public events Facilitate community service projects for school and community groups Lead field trips for school and community groups Assist in the coordination of activities of several regional environmental education and outreach groups of which the City participates, which will include the Thurston County Stream Team, South Sound GREEN, the Thurston County Stormwater Outreach Group, and Thurston ECO Network Assist with collection, compilation and analysis of water groundwater and surface water quality data Distribute water conservation items
