CNGA is hiring an Administrative Director.

The California Native Grasslands Association (CNGA) is a professional, statewide nonprofit environmental organization based in the Davis–Sacramento area. The mission of CNGA is to promote, preserve, and restore the diversity of California’s native grasses and grassland ecosystems through education, advocacy, research, and stewardship.

CNGA seeks to hire a part-time Administrative Director (20-30 hrs/week) to manage day-to-day operations of the organization, plan and implement workshops and other programs, manage and engage our diverse membership, grow the organization through fundraising and capacity building, conduct outreach via websites and social media, and support the Board of Directors.

The position is ideally based in the greater Davis-Sacramento area, with some travel required for events. Position is initially available for one year, with further employment contingent on funding and performance. Compensation based on experience and qualifications. Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with nonprofit management including contracts, grants, and other fundraising
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, online Quick Books, and website development.
  • Ability to be organized and to meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of California ecosystems and conservation issues.
