DescriptionRose is called the Queen of Flowers and the most heavenly of all scents. It is celebrated around world as a symbol of love, protection and grace. Join Elise as she shares stories and herbal insights about this precious local plant. Participants will learn to make many things from rose including tea, infused honey, infused oil, lip balm and toner. The best part will be tasting and testing the rose products we create. Participants will bring home samples and a handout.

Instructor: Elise Krohn, M.Ed.
Elise Krohn, M.Ed. is an educator, author, herbalist, and native foods specialist in the Pacific Northwest. She is committed to cultivating healing relationships between people, plants, place and cultural traditions. During her 15 years of experience teaching in tribal communities, she has worked with elders and cultural specialists to create successful community gardens, food sovereignty resources, a program on healing addiction, and curricula on chronic disease prevention. Elise also has over 10 years of experience as a clinical herbalist, and has authored two books and numerous articles on this and related topics. Elise is currently an educator at GRuB, where she is developing a K-12 curriculum on Northwest plants called Tend, Gather and Grow. Her blog can be found at wildfoodsandmedicines.com.

GRuB has an accessible parking spot in front of the building with a ramp to the front door. There is a single occupancy ADA bathroom on the ground floor. Most workshops are primarily spoken out loud with some paper handouts, and have a hands-on or experiential component.
