Climate Reality Leader Training will be in Seattle/Bellevue on June 27-29.

You know our climate is changing. You want to make a difference. We’ll show you how. Join us for a Climate Reality Leadership Corps training and work with former US Vice President Al Gore and renowned climate scientists and communicators to learn about what’s happening to our planet and how you can use social media, powerful storytelling, and personal outreach to inspire audiences to take action. Give us three days. We’ll give you the tools to change the world.

The Climate Reality Leadership Corps is a global network of messengers and activists trained to talk about the impacts of climate change and what we can do to support the shift to clean, renewable energy.

The program takes great leaders and makes them exceptional, providing training in climate science, communications and organizing in order to better tell the story of climate change and inspire communities everywhere to take action. The result is a dynamic group of world-changers shaping the conversation on climate in forums from family dinners to international summits and building a twenty-first century movement for solutions.

11,000 Climate Reality Leaders are already trained in 136 countries. Now the Pacific Northwest, with its leadership on climate action, is set to grow even more effective as we add capacity with this training. From 800 – 1,000 will attend, mostly from the Northwest, but also from multiple other countries. This is an international training, and a powerful one. I can personally say this was the most powerful 3-day training of any in my life!

The training itself is free! If you are accepted to the training, you will need to make your own transportation and lodging arrangements. It’s a three day training, June 27-29, with Mr. Gore—who will himself do an entire day of the training—and other experts who will be presenting/teaching as well. June 29 will be a day of action, and is an integral part of the training.

Here is the application to take the training:
