Some of the key work activities of the SEA Assistant Coastal Planner position include:

Technical Assistance:

  • Provide assistance to the Coastal Planner and the Risk MAP team to develop and disseminate products and materials to support local, state, and tribal jurisdictions to develop, evaluate, update and implement their mitigation plans and strategies, focusing on building a community’s capability to plan for and reduce risk. Technical Assistance will also encourage hazard mitigation plan implementation and advance community hazard mitigation actions through the Mitigation Planning Process in the form of administration, technical assistance for specific planning requirements, as well as resources and tools for improved planning.
