Responsibilities:

Prevent accidents through
Knowledge and enforcement of rules
Respond in accordance to the 30 second rule
Educate patrons
Exercise constant vigilance. Provide rescue and emergency care
Use appropriate equipment to affect safe rescues for patrons and yourself.
Know and follow Emergency Action Plans.
Provide appropriate follow up care and complete reports.
Maintain safety and sanitation of all pool equipment and facilities.
Promote the facility and programs with a positive and mature attitude. Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings regularly.
Other duties as assigned

1. Requirements:

Current certifications (Lifeguard Training, CPR Professional Rescuer or equivalent, AED). Pass pre-employment skills test. Complete background screening. Complete Blood Borne Pathogens Training. Complete all paperwork within three days of hire

2. Additional preferences:

Current EVERGREEN student. Water Safety Instructor. Lifeguard Training Instructor

Come to the College Recreation Center 2nd Floor Administrative Office (CRC 210) and complete and submit an application and a disclosure form (background check). Be sure to bring contact information for at least three references and copies of Certifications.
