This individual brings specialized knowledge critical to process improvement initiatives, developing tools and procedures that optimize efficiency and quality of services for our customers, as prioritized by the Domain Expert.  To effectively contribute in this capacity, the Solution Developer should have prior experience within advanced technical concepts relevant to customer products provided by QSI. The ideal candidate would have experience in programming, airborne acquisition operations, and advanced statistical analyses such as machine learning.  Applicable experience includes process automation, GUI development, and web-based data serving. The ideal candidate would have expert understanding of industry standards, including data formats and regulatory specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Produce data layers, maps, tables, or reports, using spatial analysis procedures or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, equipment, or systems
  • Coordinate the development or administration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) projects, including the development of technical priorities, client reporting and interface, or coordination and review of schedules and budgets
  • Provide technical expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to clients or users
  • Create, analyze, report, convert, or transfer data, using specialized applications program software
  • Design, program, or model Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications or procedures.
  • Improves efficiency and quality of existing workflows
  • Develops new solutions in response to CFT customer needs, requests, and opportunities
  • Stays current on existing solutions and technologies within the industry and similar individuals throughout QSI to maximize efficiency
  • Collaborates closely with Program Manager on scope verification and applicability in the product and market domain
  • Collaborates closely with Domain Experts and  Products & Marketing in productization, analysis, configuration, testing, and system integration

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree  in science, computing, or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • First-hand industry experience inside or outside of QSI
  • Experience in advanced statistics
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Drive
  • 2+ years’ experience in both a professional and technical environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in science, computer science, or engineering
  • Experience in change management
  • Experience in process consulting
  • 3+ years’ experience in both a professional and technical environment
  • 1+ years’ experience leading teams
  • Experience with a relevant programming language (Python, C++, C#, Java, mobile, etc)
