Spark the Fire Grantwriting Classes is hosting a Certificate in Grantwriting Class in Seattle on January 7-8<http://www.sparkthefiregrantwriting.com/registration/010719> to help you get ready for the upcoming year. Get organized, find new prospects, freshen up your grant proposals, and prepare for submitting year-end reports. Our alumni work in nonprofit and government agencies, Native American tribes and groups, academic institutions, faith organizations, healthcare institutions, grantmaking organizations, and as independent grantwriting professionals.

The two-day class format provides time for hands-on writing with a grantwriting expert by your side and activities to help you think through your grantwriting strategies. The two-day class is followed by an individualized assessment in which your skills and knowledge are evaluated in a one-on-one setting. The class portion is may be also be taken as a stand-alone course.

ABOUT
Spark the Fire Grantwriting Classes was founded by Allison Shirk. Allison is an Approved Specialist in the Nonprofit Resource Directory, a vetted resource of nonprofit consultants recommended by their clients and peers. She has more than twenty years’ experience in fund development with a focus on grantwriting. She has trained over 5,000 individuals in the last five years and helped nonprofits raise millions of dollars to help make the world a better place. Allison specializes in grantwriting, fundraising, case statements, strategic planning, evaluation, continuous quality improvement, and nonprofit development. She is a Columnist for the Foundation Center – New York, The Sustainable Nonprofit. Allison is a member of Washington Nonprofits and the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association.
