Wednesday, April 24– Farmworker Justice Day 9:30am to 1pm in the Library Lobby, with workshops in the afternoon. Join us for a day of events centered around celebrating fifteen years of movement building for farmworker justice. There will be a morning panel of followed by afternoon workshops. Presenters include farmworkers, long-time community partners, elected officials, farmworker advocates and a special celebration of partnership with the Evergreen Labor Education Center and Research Center founders. Farmworker Justice Day:
José Gómez Farmworker Justice Day (FJD) is an Annual Event held at the Olympia Evergreen campus each winter, which aims to build awareness and support for the efforts of farmworkers to gain safe and just working conditions in the United States. FJD is now entering its 10th year at Evergreen. The final program is not yet available but contact the organizing committee through Ellen Shortt Sanchez.
