This position will support our Farm Foundations training, which educates new and beginning farmers on organic production techniques, with an opportunity to practice and develop skills on our community farm. The position also supports Community Work Days, where we invite the community to come to the farm for both education and food access throughout the growing season. The Farm Foundations member would help to train the next generation of farmers, as well as recruit and educate community members to help manage our community farm. The member would gain skills with outreach, engagement and education on topics of sustainable agriculture. This position is contingent on funding.

ember Duties : • Serve outside in all conditions to support programming at a 2-acre farm • Support education of program members in sustainable agricultural practices • Assist in tracking and weighing food grown and other farm metrics • Conduct outreach in a variety of ways to engage diverse populations in our programming • Host community work days and educate the community about the benefits of local agriculture and ecological agriculture.
