About Leadership Thurston County

Leadership Thurston County develops informed, connected and committed community leaders.  Founded over 20 year ago by 16 community leaders, LTC provides a continually renewed pool of engaged community leaders.

During the 10-month program that begins in September and ends in June, participants gain a broad understanding of issues facing our region, build relationships with decision-makers, and explore ways to get involved. The year includes opening and closing retreats and day-long sessions called Challenge Days. Challenge Days focus on a different segment of the community each month, including education, business and economic development, government , law and justice, health and human services, arts and culture and the environment. The experience-based curriculum emphasizes community stewardship and the interrelationship of issues affecting Thurston County. Additional information is available at www.leadthurstoncounty.com.
