What a great opportunity we have at the Department of Enterprise Services (DES). We are looking for someone to join us in our Business Resources Division (BRD), Fleet & Parking Services. Our program manages the daily operations of more than 4,600 fleet vehicles and oversees more than 6,000 parking stalls located on the Capital Campus. Parking Services manages employee and state agency parking assignments, as well as visitor parking lots located on the Capital Campus. You will meet a lot of different people at all levels spanning from 40+ agencies. You will be immersed in interesting and different activities. You will gain diverse experience sitting at the table representing your agency and division. Unlike many areas, because of the work you’re involved in, you will be “first to know” about things on the forefront.Every day is different, so you definitely won’t be bored. Upon hire, you will first be cross-trained for backup and assistance when/where coverage may be required. You will learn and understand what you will be expected to accomplish and support our vision and strategy to our customers and our agency’s “Big 3” (Customer Satisfaction, Team Satisfaction, and Financial Health). You will be making new contacts, meeting with existing, and building strong relationships. We believe relationships determines results.

We are looking for positive, customer service-focused and technically qualified individual to fill the position of Parking Management Analyst. We want someone who has strong analytical skills and an in-depth understanding of parking systems and their relationship to transportation demand management.. You will need to be able to utilize technology to leverage the improvement of the parking experience. Excellent communications skills and the ability to build and grow relationships is critical, particularly around the subject of parking. You will lead the data side of the house by overseeing parking demand and utilization counts. You will need to be methodical and have the ability to present the story behind the numbers. You are the leading point on projects when new technologies get introduced. You will be trusted to make independent, critical decisions once trained.A successful candidate will be responsible for finalization, adoption, and implementation of future parking technology to the Capitol Campus. We are looking to hire someone that is confident and looks for new and different ways to get things done with the understanding that even though we may not have every available tool/resources available to us, but we can be creative and drive change with what we do have. This person understands they don’t have to think outside the box, because there is no box when it comes to creative solutions.

You will serve as the Program Management Analyst and will perform technical analyses for parking on the Capitol Campus for daily operations. The analysis will involve determination of the parking ecosystem, demand-responsive parking management, transportation demand management (TDM), shared mobility initiatives, and new parking technology implementation. You will also be a primary contact for other agencies and will need to gather applicable information about parking status and demand. Within this work program, there is ample opportunity for a creative, data-friendly analyst/planner to make a difference on the next generation of mobility management practices on the Capitol Campus.

- Responding to constituent inquiries regarding parking policies and regulations.
- Working in the field autonomously, completing tasks and projects in a self-directed manner.
- Analyzing the economic and financial feasibility of proposed parking projects and programs and making recommendations.
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of programs.
- Serving as member of the customer service team.
- Serving as a primary backup to the parking manager handling complex, cross-agency customer problems.
- Preparing agendas and makes presentations to various commissions, boards, and others.
- Qualifications

REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
AND
Two (2) years of progressively responsible related experience in data management AND program analysis may run concurrently)* Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
PREFERRED:
Education, training, or certification in business or parking management.
Practical experience in business analytics and/or parking management. - Supplemental Information
