A – Log Week 6

16 hours – reading (The Alchemy Reader, The Forge and the Crucible, Creative Mythology, This Compost, Transcendental Magic, The Red Lion).

10 hours – software design (granular scrubber design in Reaktor programming environment), digital sound design, and art.

5 hours – nature walk, writing poetry, and journal.

5 hours – reviewing notes and doing online research into  esoteric alchemy. Watched documentary on hermetic traditions by Terrence McKenna).

V – Week 9 Log

This week I focused on the transformation within myself, I thought alot about the whole, what did I learn from this quarter as a whole?

I taught myself to throw pottery, which is a really amazingly embodied and fun thing to do!  Within doing this I witnessed many metaphors for transformation from within, which i talk alot about in my paper, which I worked alot on this week, being my main focus.

I Also finished Neuro!

I glazed many bowls and pots and thought about what I wanted from them.

I worked with Herbal First -Aid

and I started my self/teacher evals.

½ hour – read over previous self-evaluations from fall and winter quarter. Started to write spring quarter evaluation.

2 ½ hours – rallying in solidarity with the Student Support Services at Evergreen.

I went for a swim today and saw jellyfish, a beautiful reminder of life.

May 30th, Thursday

4 hours reading The Naked Woman by Desmond Morris, and talking to a friend about evolution. I have been able to connect my study of focus to that of my peers as well, it is a reassuring and pleasant change of pace.

2 hours creating poetry, trying to channel my pain and the pain I have been reading about into a work while the feelings are fresh.

2 hours in the Calculated Poetics class session listening to presentations while I made origami, it truly calmed me.
